Image Index 1: Snow in North Carolina

This page and the other Image Index pages are collections of photos that don't fit neatly into any other page. The thumbnail images should load pretty quickly. Click on the thumbnail image to download a larger version of the image. The larger images are usually 1280 X 960 pixel JPEG's and will take a much longer to download. Most browsers will reduce the image to fit your window. If you want to view the image at the best resolution, hover your mouse over the image and an icon will appear in the lower right-hand corner to enable you to expand the image to its full size. If you're just dying for even higher resolution, let me know and I can provide you with any resolution or image size up to the original, which is usually an 800 KB (or larger) JPEG.

If you are looking for an inexpensive image viewer that does the basics, try Irfanview (www.irfanview.com), a free viewer with some nice features. This is a handy viewer to place on CD-R disks with photo collections, since it is free, yet powerful enough to view thumbnail indexes, resize images, and do other similar tasks.

So, you think it doesn't snow in the Piedmont area of North Carolina? That's what I thought before I moved here.

Drop me a note if you want to discuss any particular photo or the circumstances surrounding it. Please don't ask me any technical questions about the photos because (1) I don't know what I'm doing, and (2) they aren't that good.
